Wellness Coordinator
The Town of Longmeadow, MA is seeking qualified applicants for the Part Time
position of Regional Wellness Coordinator. This is a MA Dept of Public
Health grant position with the general purpose to support regional
collaboration among the Boards of Health of Municipalities participating in
the Scantic Valley Health Insurance Trust health plans. After conducting
employee health and environmental health risk assessments, the candidate
will design, promote and execute regional wellness initiatives for municipal
employees; quitting smoking and protection from second hand smoke, physical
activity, nutrition, and stress reduction. The candidate must be a self
starter with strong communication, organization, coalition development,
computer skills. Work may be performed off site at your own location, with
space provided at the Town upon request. The candidate will be responsible
for providing their own technology including computer, phone, cell phone and
reliable transportation, and must have a valid driver’s license. A strong
interest and/or familiarity with health care issues desirable. A list of
approved reimbursable expenses is available upon request. Salary range

Crossing Guards
The
Longmeadow Police Department is currently seeking applicants for both
regular and substitute school crossing guards. A regular school crossing
assignment requires coverage weekday mornings at 8:00 AM and afternoons
beginning at 2:40 PM. Both positions receive compensation of 1.1 hours at
the rate of $9.63 per hour. Substitute crossing guards cover post vacancies
created by illness, etc. Acceptance of open vacancies by substitute guards
is not mandatory.
Acceptable applicants will receive compensated training. Crossing guards are
responsible for ensuring the safety of children traveling to and from the
town�s schools. Duties would also include mentoring children in safety
issues and directing children safely across town streets.

Lifeguards Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department is looking for Lifeguards to
supervise the indoor pool at Longmeadow High School. Lifeguards are needed
to teach swim lessons to children and supervise family swim and lap swim on
weeknights and Saturdays. Qualified applicants need to have Red Cross CPR
for the Professional Rescuer, Red Cross First Aid and Lifeguarding
certification. Salary range: $7.50 - $9.55/hour. Please contact the
